The Save Eastern Way Playing Field Run - 06/09/2024 Overview

Meeting at 17:30 on the Field at Eastern Way, where the parkrun finishes, next to the Icon car park.

We will do a quick warm up, and some dynamic stretches on the field, before starting the main session.

The main session will be a lapped route, going across the field towards Ashby Road, going down under the subway and along Eastern way, and then coming back through the subway by the Icon and onto the field again. One lap is around 0.75 miles, so it is suitable for all abilities.

This run is an "easy run", so no need to push hard, but instead group up, chat, even walk if you like, and enjoy!!!

Please be aware of crossing Lodge Way (road that the Leisure Centre is on) carefully, as you will do this once per lap. And also take care with footing where running across the field as it is uneven in places.

We will finish in enough time to walk up to the Community Centre on Ashby Road, for those that want to attend the meeting/show support to the movement trying to stop the field being sold off for to be built on with houses.
