The next race of our DRR club championships is approaching with the Coombe Abbey Summer 10k race on Friday 10th July, with the race starting at 7.00pm.
I would advise getting there in plenty of time to allow you to register and collect your number if required, and then warm up, it would be nice for all members to meet up before and after the race to have a group photo for our social media, Once you have finished it would be nice if members could cheer on and support all the rest of the members still competing.
Unfortunately all tickets have now sold out for this event.
If anyone would like to come but is struggling with transportation to get to Coombe Abbey, please let Tracy, John or I know and we will see if there are any members who could give you a lift.

Where is it?
Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry is run and managed by Coventry City Council. The What 3 Words location is here.
Parking costs up £3 for 1-2 hours. There is a toilet block next to the HQ on site.
Coombe Abbey Park (CV3 2AB) is on the outskirts of Coventry and 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6. The closest train station is Coventry.
Course description
You’ll be running through woodland, meadow and over grass fields. Depending on the weather leading up to the event this could mean muddy, not so muddy or rock hard! There will be exposed trees roots, uneven surfaces and a few gates to navigate but the running will always have a view. Given it’s the middle of the summer expect a really good firm running route.
The route is effectively 2 laps of the woodland and meadow, you visit the water station 4 times. The route is at the bottom of the page. It is undulating but not hilly at all. A truly great venue and route!
