Sat 1st Feb - Warwick Racecourse parkrun
Thanks to Jamie for floating the idea, and after the success of recent DRR parkrun tourism club events, we are planning to head to another flat and fast parkrun, this time in Warwickshire.
Parking: Warwick Racecourse is well signposted and is easy to find. The address is Hampton Street, Warwick.
Car parks are available close to the start:
St Mary’s Area 3 (CV34 6HF). Height restriction 2.1m. Free for 2 hours (ticket required)
Toilets: Toilet facilities are available before and after the run at Warwick Golf Centre.
If you have a club shirt please wear this, and we will do a group photo at 8.45am.
As normal we will cheer all club members home, and if your still energetic after your run, it would be nice to run back and support others.
Course Description: The start and finish are in the same place adjacent to Warwick Golf Centre. The route is a simple out and back around Warwick Racecourse (one clockwise lap followed by one anticlockwise lap), mostly very flat with a couple of bumps in the middle. The course is mainly on firm gravel paths, with a small section of trail just after the start and just before the finish.
Surface: The course is run on a mixture of gravel paths and trail paths.
